Jim Schroeder - President
Prior to starting the firm in 2008, Jim served as the Development Director for several Christian ministries based in Columbus, including Ohio Right to Life, Pregnancy Decision Health Centers, Heartbeat International and Urban Concern. His passion and joy is connecting God’s people to God’s work.
Before entering the non-profit world in 1994, the Chicago native spent 15 years as a broadcast journalist, including 10 years as the Business Reporter for WCMH-TV 4, the NBC affiliate in Columbus, Ohio. He also served as week-end news anchor and hosted a half hour public affairs show, Newsconference 4. Jim spent his final two years in broadcasting as a sports reporter and anchor, covering the Ohio State Buckeyes and hosting a live NFL pre-game show, Bengals-Browns Countdown. As Sports Director, he led efforts that resulted in the Associated Press designating their team the #1 Sport Operation in Ohio in 1993 & 1994. During his broadcast career, Jim filed reports that aired on NBC Nightly News and ESPN.
Jim graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Political Science.
Jim and his wife Carol married in 1980 and reside in Worthington, Ohio with their two children. The Schroeder family attends Vineyard Church of Columbus, where Jim serves as a Small Group Leader and a coordinator for the Decision Prayer team. He also served from 2010 - 2021 on the Board of Trustees of Echoing Hills Village, Inc., a statewide ministry serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
